Dornoch
Dornoch with its award-winning beach is a must to visit if you enjoy sandy beaches with plenty of rock pools. It also boasts a well-known cathedral, where the famous Madonna had her children christened. There is also of course, The Royal Dornoch Golf Course, a must for golf enthusiasts.

Falls of Shin
Situated in the heart of the Highlands of Scotland, Falls of Shin is a wonderful experience for all the family. There are forest walks, dramatic waterfalls where you can watch the famous salmon leap. The shop sells a range of Harrod's gifts and there is also a restaurant where you can enjoy homemade food and snacks.

Dunrobin Castle & Gardens
Dunrobin is the largest house in the Highlands, boasting 189 rooms. Displays of falconry take place in the gardens throughout the day during the months of March to October. There is also a restaurant on-site, or on a sunny day picnic in the lovely gardens.

There are also golf courses to be found at Golspie and Brora; all within half an hours drive from Tain.
